Health IT Program Manager

Raakhee Sharma, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), has 10 years of communications, outreach and project management experience in health care. She joined DCPCA in February 2011, and currently serves as the Health IT Program Manager. Since March 2017, Raakhee has also served as the Project Manager for eHealthDC, where she is responsible for managing all aspects of the multi-year District-funded HIT and HIE Technical Assistance and Outreach program that aims to promote the adoption of Health Information Technology initiatives and Meaningful Use amongst the DC provider community.

During her time at DCPCA, Raakhee has also worked on various Health IT projects including the Capital Partners in Care Health Information Exchange (CPC-HIE) to support health care coordination efforts in D.C., and  served as the Education and Outreach Lead for the federally-funded DC Regional Extension Center program, where she helped to ensure that the program was the first in the nation to exceed its grant goal of assisting over 1000 DC primary care providers adopt Electronic Health Record technology and achieve Meaningful Use.

Prior to joining DCPCA, Raakhee worked at the Advisory Board Company in the marketing and business development efforts of health care technology solutions for hospitals across the nation. Raakhee is a native of the Washington, D.C. area, and in her free time, enjoys cheering on DC sport teams, mentoring youth, and volunteering for local causes and with her alma mater, University of Maryland.
