Ndikum Mandela Cho, who goes by Mandela, brings over a decade of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management. His background spans billing operations, denials management, compliance audits, and accounts receivable optimization, giving him a comprehensive view of the financial processes that support high-quality patient care. At DCPCA, Mandela leads revenue cycle integrity projects across the DC Connected Care Network, working closely with practices to streamline operations, strengthen reimbursement processes, and ensure compliance with payer and regulatory standards. A central part of his work is aligning financial performance with patient-centered outcomes, supporting practices in their transition toward sustainable value-based care models.
Alongside his civilian career, Mandela has proudly served as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy Reserve for the past six years. In this role, he has supported medical readiness, provided operational healthcare assistance, and gained experience in leadership under pressure. His Navy career has reinforced his discipline, adaptability, and commitment to service qualities that he brings into his work in healthcare management. The values of teamwork, accountability, and resilience cultivated through military service continue to guide his approach to leadership and problem-solving in a complex healthcare environment.
Outside of his professional and military responsibilities, Mandela dedicates his time to HQ Social, a nonprofit organization focused on community development initiatives in both the U.S. and Cameroon. These projects range from expanding access to clean water to supporting education and family-focused programs, reflecting Mandela’s belief in using his skills to strengthen communities beyond the workplace. He also values quality time with his family and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and biking, as well as practicing marksmanship, pursuits that help him stay balanced, energized, and focused on both personal and professional growth.
